A third book written by our president, Marlene Hutchinson, is in bookstores today. Convinced that a zero-waste society is possible and indispensable, this book explains regulatory developments, technological developments and changes in vision regarding waste in the last 10 years in Quebec. The book, which includes an interview with Bea Johnson, demonstrates that it is possible to achieve zero waste by 2035 if all stakeholders – citizens, businesses, governments – go in one direction. By integrating circular economy, reviewing our regulations, and ensuring that all products that are marketed can be repaired, recycled or processed into a new product, we can reach a zero-waste society.
